Social Shop

Pavé Chocolate is handmade from vegan ingredients by the St. Jakob Foundation in Zurich’s District 5. The social enterprise is dedicated to integrating people with disabilities into the workforce and society. By making a purchase, you are helping to create fair-market jobs and apprenticeships in a supportive social environment.

Guided by its own set of principles, the St. Jakob Foundation also ensures fair working and production conditions in the Global South. This includes wages above Fairtrade standards and high-quality cocoa. As recommended by the WWF, the foundation uses RSPO- or POIG-certified sustainable palm oil. Wherever possible, the ingredients are sourced from Switzerland.

Couverture Grenada 65% (cocoa beans, sugar CH, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla), hazelnuts, sugar CH, palm fat, coconut fat, cocoa powder, emulsifier E322, vanilla. Contains soy and hazelnuts. May contain traces of milk and almonds. Suitable for a vegan diet. Store in a cool, dry place.

Chocolate is packed in a PaperWise cardboard box of A-quality, which is made from agricultural waste (stalks and leaves from Germany), produced with 100% green energy, CO2-neutral and ISO-certified. The box is recyclable and can be disposed of with cardboard. For the sake of a longer shelf life, the pavés are also packed in a cellophane bag, which can be disposed of with normal waste.
